Dofollow will be counted by Google and you give credit to them, and thus will help you with rankings.

Nofollow will be abandoned and the graph link google custom into account in your ranking on Google.

No follow links are the types of links that don’t allow Google bots to don’t follow the link hence no follow links don’t pass the link juice to the website.
Do follow links is a type of hyper link that tells google bot to follow the specific link and reach our website. Give us back link juice.

Do follow links are well crawled by the Google. It helps to increase page rank because Google considered it as a link.

Do Follow after connections are all around slithered by the Google. It expands page rank since Google thought about it as a connection.

No Follow after connections are not slithered by the Google since Google thought about it as a content.

I think in the seo process both no follow and do follow links matter
do follow count as back link to the site from search engine. It's important for site ranking to get quality back links.no follow doesn't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful as an traffic generate source if it's come from high pr sites.
