Xml site map is a indexed model of links.. which helps the user also search engine to navigate easily-

xml sitemap is a file format of sitemap or a file having all the url's of website. We can add sitemap through webmaster tool or you can place your sitemap file in the root directory of website. It is a way to tell crawler all url of website to increase the crawling or indexing of website.

An XML protocol helps search engines better understand your all of your web page of your website while crawling it. Sitemaps allow search engines to find all of your webpages that they might otherwise miss when indexing.

XML sitemap is for crawlers, which tells them the list of webpages a website have and importance of each individual page to the home page. We can also mention change frequency to all individual page and also the last updated date.
When a crawler crawls the website, they first check for XML sitemap and Robots.txt file. It is also recommended to mention URL of the XML sitemap at the end of robots.txt.

A XML Sitemap is a file in a XML format that lists URL's of a website's pages and contains additional information about the pages that can make it easier for Search engine bots to discover more web pages to crawl and understand their quality.

1. XML sitemap is for search engines to crawl the page easily. 2. HTML sitemap is for users to find the page easily.
