The robots.txt record can be configured to either permit or restrict access to look engine crawlers, relying on how it's far set up. If the file consists of regulations like “consumer-agent: *” and “Disallow:” (with nothing after it), it manner all search engines are allowed to crawl the whole website. however, if there are specific “Disallow” directives, they block search engines like google and yahoo from accessing positive pages or sections. In short, robots.txt does no longer automatically allow all search engines like google—it handiest allows them whilst no regulations are defined, and it may be customized to control which parts of a website are seen to search engine bots.
