Both are powerful and effective off page seo technique, forum posting and blog posting is so helpful for getting dofollow backlinks and also helpful for get traffic on the site.

Forum and Blog both are beneficial to increase visitors your site. blog and forum site should high PR site and good traffic website.

Make sure the forum are dofollow links. You are wasting time by going to nofollow links and posting.

Both are beneficial but if you compare each other then one would choose blog posting that will give more exposure than forum..

They are different to each other, if your blog is popular and it has good page rank than 4 article updated is enough in that blog. And forum posting is quite simple, dont need more content make signature and reply to thread. Its even better

Both Blog and forum posting is beneficial. it will improve search engine ranking. blog is really helpful to generate traffic.
