Do not repeat the target keyword in the content to get top place in the search engine. You can never impress the visitors and they will out from your website. On page is important. Please share some on-page tips.

On page SEO is important to optimizing your website and its content to better rank in the search engines. Unlike off page SEO, on page is completely free and very simple. On page SEO is based on optimizing your content for particular keywords you want to rank for by utilizing them in particular areas of your site.

With out on page perfection you can never get the good result from off page if you get result then these will be temporary and get doped down very soon

Actually both On-Page and Off-Page is important to get high ranking on SERP. On-Page improves your website's quality and usability where off-page improves your popularity. Simply answer one of my question. What should a person need survive: Food or Water?

Both are equally important from the SEO point of view,without on page optimization a website can't be placed in search engine result page and without off-page optimization it can't traffic and higher ranking in the SERP.
So,both on page and off-page optimization techniques are important for websites.
