As per me, Linkbuilding is very important for Goggle PR and Google Rank but if you want to increase Alexa Ranking so, you can improve visits for your website in a day.

Alexa Ranking is not an important for a website; it is just a tool to give information about the how much traffic you get on website. If your site has lesser alexa ranking, then your site can get high ranking in major search engine.
