1. Create a good article with good content (minimum 3 to 5 article per day would be better), that have a fresh, "hot", interesting informative content and useful for other, or at least can make the other want to create comment or question that related to your article.
2. Create back link (as many as you can BUT remember do not Spamming) to other sites, forum or blog that have a same or related content to your article. It would be better if the other sites you put your link have a good hits or high google page rank
3. Remember to put the link of your article on social network like facebook, twitter, etc

I am totaly agaist of that, generating traffic to your blog is a slow process, no one can boost your traffic in one day and if it happens , it will only for few days, after that Google will penalize for any penalties.

There is no fastest way but social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are very effective in terms of boosting website traffic in short period of time.
