It’s old news to many SEOs worth their salt now, but since early 2011 (Panda update) duplicate content has been a big no no. This has changed a number of old school (read: crappy) SEO tactics like: spinning content, article submissions, advertorial abuse and more recently over-optimisation of press releases. There is one thing that I believe most short-sighted or under experienced digital marketers seem to overlook time and time again:

Duplicate content will always be a part of Google's updates. Most blog owners think they can spin the content and publish it on other sites to gain traffic, but they do not know that Google mechanism is a lot smarter then they think.

For best SEO, write fresh quality content, do not duplicate or spin content, and get natural backilnks.

Copying content from websites and just pasting it on other website lead to Google penalty, but if you are using only content theme and writing your own content than it is okay with Google

The Panda update that has been made in the year 2011 has strictly prohibited the use of duplicate content. The SEO techniques have also undergone a radical change, as well.

In the eyes of Google and other search engines, duplicate contents are actually pieces of content which appear on more than one page within the same website or others. It is sometimes used by illegal web spammers and content duplicators which may have a very bad result on the internet site. It is not good for a website in fact you may get penalty for this.

Duplicate content are those content which are copied from anywhere and is posted which directly led to spam,so content should be of unique quality

It has been since the early 2011 that use of duplicate content is strongly discouraged. A few scrappy techniques similar to article submissions and over-optimization of press-releases are strongly discouraged.

Duplicate content means lack in the quality of the content that will effect the traffic of the site as well as its popularity,it is something like same content used for many times without any enhancements or modification
