Most people find Meta title tags and title tags quite a confusing concept. But mind you they are different in the way they affect your SEO efforts. These 2 are terms to be aware off if you are in SEO. The primary difference between Meta title tags and title tags is the way in which they get expressed on the web page and their role in SEO. Not only are they represented differently but also the title tag is displayed on the top of the browser window and as a linked text in potential searches. Title tags get indexed by Google, Yahoo and Bing. Title tags have more importance in getting clicks for conversion rather than SEO. While in the case of Meta title tags this tag boost your SERPs. There are still lots of debate of each of their importance and role but both can be used for optimal results.
