Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is an indexing and retrieval method that uses a mathematical technique called Singular value decomposition (SVD) to identify patterns in the relationships between the terms and concepts contained in an unstructured collection of text. LSI is based on the principle that words that are used in the same contexts tend to have similar meanings.

LSI is the process of listing those web pages which have related or same keyword /phrase which will be entered by any internet user. LSI plays an important role in the results of SERPs to give relative and quality result when any of the keyword will be entered by the search engine user.

Latent semantic indexing is full form of LSI and it helps search engines to find out what a webpage is all about. It’s a practice of identify words that have same concepts.
