Well unfortunately reciprocal links adversely do affect SEO. Earlier this form of shared linking was predominant in all SEO functions but then Google smelled a rat and treated reciprocal linking as unethical and unnatural. In case you are a reciprocal linker then don't fret, its never too late. Start by making small changes to your linking habits and monitor the changes closely. An SEO spe******t can help you design a proper 'project rectify' strategy to over come this.

Yes these 5 tips are really good and I agree with your point of view that mostly web-masters do these tool but they don't know that what will impact on his site........
