I actually think that Google+ is as good if not better than Facebook for a couple of reasons. First, Google gives an unfair advantage to Google+ in search rankings. So the more +1's you have on Google+, the faster your website will get to page 1 of search results. Second, Google+ was built for business while Facebook was built for personal use. So with Google+, you have the ability to share content on all of the most popular "Communities" whereas Facebook typically does not allow this. This can dramatically increase your exposure.
