You need to Focus on Directory, Social Bookmarking, Articles & Press Release sites that gives do-follow backlinks for your site.

Techniques are still the same, link building is all about relevancy, quality and consistency. Backlinks are important but do not focus only on building backlinks to your site, do not forget about your target market.

You need to Focus on Blog Posting, Forum discussion, Social Bookmarking,Articles,Press releases,Classifieds,Blog comments & infographic. these are very useful to increase backlinks.
