There are many ways URL parameters can be explained but I will take the WordPress route and here is my quick example. Usually your post permalink is like this:

domain.com/permalink

but when you get traffic from referral sites like Feedburner, Facebook, Twitter you will notice your permalink have some extra lines.

Loading time is one of the 200 signals Google uses to determine its search engine results. While not as important as quality content, the measurement should be checked to maximize your web site's performance. Generally, 2.0 seconds or less is optimal for e-commerce sites, while Google recommends an ideal value of 0.5 seconds.

After gaining access to Webmaster Tools -- you need to insert some code in your home page to verify you are the owner, as instructed when you sign in -- go to the Dashboard and click on Labs, then Site Performance.

You can use the URL Parameters tool to indicate the purpose of the parameters you use on your site to Google. For example, if you are the owner of a global shopping site, you might tell Google that you use the country parameter to distinguish between pages dedicated to consumers in different countries. Then you can set preferences for Google might crawl the URLs that contain those parameters. The preferences that you set can encourage Google to crawl the preferred version of your URL or simply prevent Google from crawling duplicate content on your site.
