Some Strategies to earn links in 2016

I agree with all the points mentioned above but here i wants to know about how could we perform these steps in a better way to get the better results.

I have already read all those guidelines on net but i don't want to know "what should we do" but i want to "how to do these process".

I have tried so many times to ask for guest post but among many of them are paid they ask for 50$ or 100$ for one link or two links. So i would like to know about what other steps i should follow for guest posting.
