Blog commenting done for various purposes

a) Interaction with the blog poster, so that he knows what has he done right, wrong or to appreciate him for good post.

b) to get backlink to your site, be it follow or no follow still good.

c) increase your alexa ranking as google ranking is no more in the web market .

d) change in your domain authority

Blog commenting is the old technique of getting traffic towards a website. It isn't helpful these days for attracting viewers towards your website. It helps only when you're commenting on a niche wise blog that too of high quality as huge online surfers engage in them to get some quality info from it.

Blog commenting is a very old technique and it is not in use these days. Commenting on blogs in trendy topics and their popularity helps a website to some extent but not as much effective as you are thinking. I must say, do something else rather than blog commenting.

Blog Commenting is a process of commenting some ones article posted on their blog, in the beginning stage of SEO this process is used to build back links, but now this process is considered as spam

Blog commenting is a good SEO technique if you are not spamming the blogs you are commenting. Be sure you comment on a blog relevant to you or your niche so you can also target audience that is interested in your products.

If you target backlinks, don't comment on "no-follow" links except if they have a lot of readers that you think will be interested in your product
