seo really isn't about HTML, but I suppose it does help to know how to edit your title, description and meta tags. Oh and alt tags. Actually I guess it does help to know some html.

Also original content - content is still King.

In On Page
-- You have to start with the On Page part.

-- Competitor analysis
-- Fixing URLs
-- Write Meta tags and add those to the site
--- Work properly with H1, H2 tagging

In Off Page

-- Document submission
-- Press Releases submission

After starting with these you have to proceed with many other important strategies.
