While this time may come, don't take this as a guarantee that regardless of the possibility that you do everything right, Facebook, Twitter, or whatever other comparable site will do activity wonders for you. For a few people Facebook has exactly the intended effect, for others it doesn't work by any means. The same applies to Twitter. You can't know ahead of time if Facebook or potentially Twitter will crash your server with activity. Simply attempt both and see which one works for you.
