Guest Blogging is to submit a post on someone else blog to derive more traffic to your website.
It is not necessary to link back your website having your website then you will do a guest post. You can do a guest post if you do not have your website but you want to contribute on someone's website or blog that is related to your interest. Most of the SEO do guest blogging for the backlinks but it is not just about the backlinks.
