1. speed, results are returned very quickly - this was a big deal a decade ago, not so much today as most the other engines are reasonably quick now.

2. simplicity - the results are displayed in an easily consumable fashion.

Comfortability.... I know, that's not a word, but it fits here....People hate change, and are slow to adapt to anything that feels new. We know what Google is and we know it has done well for us in the past, so we continue to use it.
