Linkbaiting is a new buzzword around SEO circles; the point of starting a great linkbaiting campaign is to generate as many links as possible from many different sources. Actually if you try to practice some of the old type of SEO processes the type of traffic that you will generate is much less as compared to linkbaiting. To create some linkbait you need to have one core ingredient and that is to have something that is interesting. With the proliferation of blogs on the Internet it is possible to create huge hype and buzz about a website or product in the web world.

Linkbaiting is a term I�ve been coming across a lot on various blogs and forums. For a few days I ignored it thinking it was some �blackhat� seo tactic to promote your links due to the expression �baiting�. Some detailed reading made things quite clear.
