Google latest update Hummingbird, whichever say site should be clean and well content . If you would like to link building then you should build good pr site as and you have to do manual link building as Hummingbird is too fast contain spaming link.

Avoid backlinking low quality websites and guest posts too.

Yah I heard that spammy guest posting, and certain sources say guest posting in general, will hurt your SEO. So far, contant unique content and slow quality link building is working for me.
