Bounce rate is percentage that shows how many user came to your website page and move out without going to other page. For news website they have high bounce rate above 90% and for general website it should be less than 50.

when the visitors come at your site and they left at the same time then it's called bounce rate.

Bounce rate in SEO is that how long visitor can stay on your webpage. If bounce rate is high so google can decrease your website in their search engine result page.
