What is 404 error in SEO ?

it is a not found error there are some possibilities if you see this error in webmaster
1>either you deleted the page returning 404 error
2>the site you are giving is moved permanentally
3>the web page crawled by google is not available physically

Error 404 means that the server could not find the web page...it is called also HTTP standard response code,the meaning of that is server unable to connect with user..

404 error simply means that the web page is removed from the web. And the simplest way to avoid this issue is to redirect that page to the home page of a website or to delete that page from the server.

it's a not found error you will find some options if you notice this error in website owner

1>either you erased the page coming back 404 error

2>the site you're donations are moved permanentally

3>the web site indexed by bing is unavailable physically

404 error simply means that the web page is removed from the web. And the simplest way to avoid this issue is to redirect that page to the home page of a website or to delete that page from the server.

If the destination page is not found on the server, you will 404 error on the website for that specific page.
