In layman's terms, indexing is the process of adding webpages into Google search. Depending upon which meta tag you used (index or NO-index), Google will crawl and index your pages. A no-index tag means that that page will not be added into the web search's index. By default, every WordPress post and page is indexed.

Hi Gurunath,

Indexing means making your web page live on Google it means it will be visible to users in the internet. And Technically they will use term like "index" and "no-index" saying google to save this page and not to save that particular page.

Only pages with index tab will be shown in search results.

In order for your site's contents to be included in the results of your custom search engine, they need to be included in the Google index.

An indexing is another name for the database used by a search engine. It contains information on all the websites the search engine was able to find. If a website is not in a search engine's index, users will not be able to find it using that search engine. Search engines regularly update their indexes.

Indexing is google's way of adding any page or post to the google search list....If you add a new post or a page you can let google know that you have posted a new page by submiting in submit URL link of console or wait for google to do it automatically in a while

Google indexing is doable with search console. if you submit your website in search console it may very useful to read in search engine bots. you can check your website crawl errors and so on
