PNG
GIF

TIFF

I would prefer PNG format instead of GIF or JPEG formats. Beacuse PNG can preserve the transparency of the image as well as it can be used for high quality images.PNG is best for using images on any websites.

Quality wise of course PNG in my opinion ranks at the top but its size makes a website load slowly. Therefore I use photos either in JPEG or in GIF format while uploading onto my website.
