duplicate product content - Site Owners Forums

I am adding products to a client's shopping cart with products that manufacturers have given him permission to use from their website. He wants me to cut and paste the manufacturer's product descriptions for his own cart.

My question is will Google ding him for duplicate content, even though it is legitimate?

Google is mainly looking for articles that are written from one site to another.

Duplicate contents should be avoided on any website as these can cause the website to be penalized by many Google. Google always try to reduce the duplicity and deliver unique data to users so it hates duplicate contents.

Avoid duplication of content whether it is for product. change some content in it and you website is secure.

Google has been getting better and better at kicking websites down the rankings because of duplicate content and content scraping. Now creating unique content for thousands of products or wildly varying inventories can be a daunting task. I've been there before.
